“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16
Love Christmas 2023
The challenges of the last 2 years have made it a particularly tough season for some groups in our society. With other local churches, we want to step forward this month to share some light and love to some in our town by gifting them with Christmas boxes filled with goodies this December.
It’s been on our heart to express our love specifically these groups of people: The elderly, who can feel particularly isolated at this time; families that we’ve connected with through F4YP and our emergency parcels, and to the homeless and refugee clients we serve through our Friday Night Ministry and the King’s Arms Project.
Will You Help Us?
You can take part by filling a box for one of the groups of people mentioned above. You can be as creative as you like in filling your boxes! (See below for some ideas of what you could put in them.) You can decorate your box however you like and you’re also welcome to include your own card, should you want to write a personal message.
Please collect empty boxes on Sunday, 19th November and Sunday, 26th November at our Sunday meetings.
Where to drop your filled boxes
Please bring filled boxes to King's House by Sunday, 10th December. There will be signposted drop-off points at our Sunday meetings on Sunday, 3rd December and Sunday, 10th December. You can also drop you boxes off during the week (9am to 3pm) at Ground Floor Coffee shop up until Friday, 8th December. Please ask a staff member for drop-off point information.
Please note - Don’t tape boxes closed as we’ll be including some Christmas booklets and information about King’s Arms and other local churches involved.

Want to bless the homeless this Christmas?
KAP CLIENTS: This year to bless the homeless King’s Arms Project have asked for high quality military sleeping bags instead of Love Christmas boxes to meet their needs for their clients. These specific sleeping bags cost £45 each and KAP are in need of about 10.
If you would like to donate towards a sleeping bag please click below or visit kingsarms.org/give and make sure you select the dropdown option Re-track: Love Christmas Sleeping bags. Thank you — we couldn't do this without you!
